THERAPY
...for All
At times clients arrive saying: 'I have tried everything and nothing works.' I have a great number of wonderful colleagues ranging from obstetricians, midwives to shamans that I work together with and can refer you on to should we both feel need for more than the approaches cited below or supplements to them.
I like to believe that there is a solution to each problem. We can work together towards it.
Working with people of all ages, nationalities and walks of life inspired me to study and practice a range of different approaches to treatment.
I began my professional life as a physiotherapist in 1987. One striking experience happened whilst I was working in a hospital specialising in neurology. I cared for a young violinist in a 'wake-coma'. The hospital had kindly given her desperate parents permission to invite an unusual 'healer' to help treat her. He not only succeeded in waking her from coma but also managed to walk up and down stairs with her long before we, her medical team, could replicate the same using physiotherapy techniques.
Witnessing how important it is to address the whole person rather than just the symptoms for effective healing led me to also study unconventional therapeutic approaches. The longer I worked with people the deeper my search for solutions to the health problems they presented with became.
Over the years I have studied a wide range of therapies with renowned therapists as well as shamans and healers. Excluding Public Health, Tropical Medicine, Physiotherapy, Yoga, Reflexology, Reiki, Bach Flower Remediesand Australian Bush Flower Essences other even less mainstream therapeutic approaches I have studied include: shamanism; regression therapy; crystal & gemstone healing; spirit healing levels 1,2,3; the Chinese quantum method and others. I have learned from indigenous societies such as the Bayaka Pygmy hunter-gatherers and the Mayan midwives from Belize that there is so much more to reinstating health than meets the (scientific) mind.

Therapy
Conventional medicine now accepts that states of mind can influence our health. In particular stress is believed to be the cause of 50% - 75% of all illnesses. Stress can lead to high blood pressure and also to physiological changes such as muscle and blood vessel spasms, shallow breathing and increased acidity of the blood.
You can browse and chose from a variety of therapeutic approaches helpful to enhance your health and well-being for conception, during pregnancy, as well as prepare for birth and speed up your postnatal recovery. You can call me to discuss if you are unsure what approach may be best for you.
